BELLINGHAM SAFARIS SUSTAINABLE LODGE PARTNER:

Natural Selection camps are fully committed to making a positive impact to wildlife conservation and the lives of local communities in wildlife areas. The Natural Selection Foundation, a US based 501c3 non-profit organization has been formed to support these projects. For example their Makgadikgadi properties project aims to support large mammal migration routes between Northern Botswana, Makgadikgadi National Park and the Kalahari Desert. Prior to the 1960s, this area held the longest, and quite possibly the largest migration of zebra and wildebeest in Africa. Unfortunately, this impressive migration abruptly ended with land use changes that required fencing across migration routes and the aim is now to unrestrict this movement. They also maintain solar pumps at game watering holes in order to support the migrating animals in this area.
