There is no doubt that we are living in the Experience Age. From the live moments we share on social media, to the importance we place on travel; today’s generation values doing and sharing, over buying and owning. The Makgadikgadi National Park in the Kalahari basin is (in our experience) the perfect destination to combine with the famed Okavango Delta in Botswana.  Although the region is well known for its unique desert dwelling species, the main reason for including this location is to experience an out of the ordinary wilderness. It is the space that is so attractive.

WHY WE LOVE MAKGADIKGADI

Taking in the night skies while enjoying tales around an African fire.

Encountering rare desert species including meeting the Kalahari’s Meerkats and excellent chances for the rare and normally elusive Brown Hyaena and Aardwolf.

View the last surviving Zebra and Wildebeest migration in Southern Africa, an awe-inspiring spectacle (wet season).

Combing ancient archaeological sites for stone tools and fossils.

Walking with the extraordinary Zu/’hoasi Bushmen trackers as they share their ancient knowledge and survival skills.

Combines seamlessly with the Okavango Delta.

Please feel free to contact us should you wish to learn more about the Makgadikgadi in Botswana.
